Scientific cooperation with foreign departments was carried out through performance of some international projects, due to the received individual grants, within the framework of bilateral agreements about cooperation between establishments of the CIS and direct communications with foreign departments of the CIS.

In 2007 the Institute is the performer of 3 international projects and 2 individual grants. All projects are carried out on basic scientific direction of the Institute activity — "technogenic-ecological safety".

Russia

Corresponding member of National Academy of Science of Ukraine and Russian Academy of Science E. Kulish carried out the general researches with:

  • Institute of Mining of Russian Academy of Science (Russia, Khabarovsk) on the theme "Research of problems of mineral raw material complex use". The kind of cooperation: interacademic on the basis of long-term contracts;
  • Geological faculty of Rostov University (Russia, Rostov -on-Don) on the  theme "Studying of Precambrian Rostov ledge and metamorphic complexes of Northern Caucasus ". The kind of cooperation: direct scientific connections.

Denmark

Within the framework of the international cooperation of joint Danish-Ukrainian scientific researches on development and use of beta-spectrometer of the increased stability and reliability "ICEL-1" for measurements of concentration of such radioisotopes as tritium, radiocarbon and radon were carried out (M. Kovalukh, V. Skripkin, etc.).

USA

Senior researcher Lysenko O.B. cooperated with Northwest University the USA (Chicago) on problems of studying of isotope displacement of red blood cells biogenic elements at old aged people and with Institute of Oceanology of Russian Academy of Science on problems of studying of bottom sediments aminoacid spectrum.

Republic Korea

In 2007 the Institute  signed a Memorandum of understanding on technic cooperation with Korean Research Institute of Atomic Energy (KAERI, Daejon) in the context of Agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and Government of the Korean Republic about cooperation in peaceful use of atomic energy.

IAEA

Senior researcher Zlobenko B.P. is a member of the International Union of Radioecologists and constant representative of Ukraine in the EMRAS (IAEA project).
